It’s a first for the Yankees, marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. UPDATE: The New York Yankees announced on Tuesday, April 9, that June 25 will be the date the Bronx Bombers will hold a special pre-game ceremony to “recognize the legacy of the Stonewall Uprising and WorldPride 2019,” as well as honor the five NYC public school students who will win $50,000 in scholarships.
